The main objective of this research is to critically study the school-based drug use prevention programs among students in Tehran high schools. I will ask: “How do drug use prevention programs in Tehran high-schools construct the substance and the drug users as the subject within their own messages?” This research will investigate the concepts of drug use and addiction from a power relation perspective that considers the subjective understanding of the group at whom the institutional discourse is targeted.
